Dear Prime Minister,
In the last election Labour won a massive majority in the Commons when six out of ten people voted against them.
Politicians like to talk a great deal about modernising politics. Yet the next election will be played by the same old rules.
In 1997 your party came to power promising a referendum on the way we elect our MPs. It’s time to put punch and judy politics away for good, and deliver on what orginary people really need: elections that offer real choice, and real fairness.
