Volunteer Stewards Wanted

February 6th, 2008

Unlock Democracy is looking for volunteer stewards to help us with our massive schools event People and Politics Day Europe, which will be taking place at the Central Hall Westminster on Tuesday March 18th 2008.

We are looking for stewards to help on the day beginning at 8.30am and finishing 4.30pm with breaks, to ensure the day goes smoothly. Volunteers will be required to:

  • give out information, giving directions etc
  • ensure quietness when necessary
  • report disruptive behaviour
  • help speakers get to areas on time
  • undertake other tasks as required

All volunteers will be fully briefed before and on the day and will have the opportunity to see talks and debates by politicians and campaigners. In 2006 the volunteer stewards were indispensible and helped out a great deal, the feedback from them was that they had a great day!

Please e-mail Kate Egglestone on info@unlockdemocracy.org.uk or telephone 020 7278 4443 for more information.
