Electoral Commission

The Electoral Commission was established by the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 to oversee publication of donations to political parties and other political organisations. All the data on this site is based on their records. The donations listed as coming from the Electoral Commission on this site relate to grants to the parties for the installation of computer systems to assist them in complying with the reporting requirements of the act.
